Style trends for men in 2019

Image
2019 is bringing about some crazy trends which I hope are here to stay. It seems like the general trend at the moment is "here I am" whereas in previous years, there's been an "I want what they've got" mentality at the forefront of our fashion choices. Even though the current trends are extremely different in regards to colours and patterns, the general aim of standing apart from the crowd seems to be the basis of it all. It's about showing off your unique identity rather than showing you fit in with a certain crowd because you dress like them, which is pretty cool We're focussing on streetwear here, none of the crazy runway stuff that none of us would actually go out in. Just the "going to Tesco then maybe the pub" type of fashion today. And just for fun I'm going to rate each trend out of 10 on how much I like it ( I know no one asked but this whole thing was already biased, why not keep it going) available at urbanoutfit...

20 Questions with Ferrini 41

Image
During one of my random Spotify sessions of discovering new music, I came across an emerging artist known as Ferrini 41, a DIY Singer, Rapper, Producer and Audio Engineer from Tempe, Arizona. I knew I had to get in contact to find out more about his music and where it comes from so I reached out and got some answers (and some very unrelated but equally as interesting information at the same time).  Before we dive in with the quick-fire 20 questions, a bit of background on Ferrini 41. Working only with his little brother r-Zona, he is completely self sufficient with his music. His sound, often categorized as Alternative Hip Hop, combines Pop, Alternative Rock, EDM, and Hip Hop into one unique style.  Currently, Ferrini 41 is independent and plans to keep it that way managing to rack up hundreds of thousands of streams in 2019 alone, without the help of any Record Labels or Management Companies.  So now lets dive in... What is the best advi...

5 Best Albums of 2019 (Part 1)

Image
This is of course unofficial but here's a list of some of the most recent albums I've been binging this year that may have escaped your notice. I've tried to be broad with genre so hopefully this includes something for everyone. 1. Slowthai - Nothing Great About Britain  Any artist who can create amazing music and get across an important social message is a genius in my eyes, and the Bajan-British rapper Slowthai has done just that with Nothing Great About Britain. Even the name is genius, though I actually like where I'm from (just not so much where we're heading to at the moment). Known as the “Brexit Bandit,” Slowthai is shedding light on some current issues within the sociopolitical climate of Britain, and if that alone isn't a good enough reason to listen to this album, it helps that it sounds awesome too. Favourite song - Doorman 2. Holly Herndon - PROTO "Glitch Pop" is a genre I didn't even know existed until recently and I...

How to Acrylic Pour (for beginners)

Image
I know I'm a bit late to the party with this one but it's still a cool way to make some crazy art and the best part is that it's so easy (and cheap).  You can use some pretty intense techniques to go the extra mile with this but for now I'm just going for a basic tutorial of how to do a standard acrylic pour. Once we've done that I'm going to be adding some extra steps for some really crazy art in the future.  If you're just here to see a video of how it's done then skip to the end of this post and you can pretty much gather what's going on. I also apologise for the shakiness of my camera... it was the first time I used it.  What you'll need: Something to pour over (usually a  canvas but this can be any flat surface really)  A range of fluid  acrylic paints (any colours you would like to work with) A pouring medium (I've been told the best medium is                           ...

10 Creative Instagram Accounts You Should Be Following

Image
Every now and then you're likely to get bored of your Instagram feed and need a bunch of new accounts to follow. I've made a list of "creative influencers" whose profiles I love looking at so if you're in need of some fresh accounts to follow, hopefully these are the ones for you. These accounts are all just profiles I enjoy looking at on my feed, not necessarily anything to do with my lifestyle or own accounts and they're all pretty different. I think it's always good to follow a wide range of people because it just makes life more interesting and you never know what crazy shit you're gonna see that you didn't know you needed to see 'til it happened. I'm aware the term "creative accounts" is pretty broad but that's because I want to recommend a wide range of types of account including artists, photography/travel accounts, tattoo artists and maybe some other stuff too. The accounts I'm posting on here are all ones I ...

How To Be More Confident

Image
I wouldn't consider myself someone who has ever had extremely low self esteem, but with the exception of being drunk at a club or in the company of my close friends and family, confidence is something that I've always wanted to have more of.  Recently I have been getting better with the whole confidence thing and I guess the point of writing this is so I can let you know what I did in the hope it works for someone else.  Before I continue, I'm not about to claim I know some tricks and solutions to cure extreme social anxiety or anything like that, I'm just giving my tips on some ways you can hopefully feel more comfortable in your skin and maybe help you start pursuing something you've been holding back on. So... I assumed it was just me getting older and starting to not care but when I actually thought about it, I realised there are certain actions I've been taking over the last few years which I massively think helped boost my self esteem.  I...

Bucket List

Original content or what... For me, a Bucket List is something I make in my head, make no effort to complete and then completely forget or ignore.  Even so... I'm making one which I will probably also ignore, but hopefully it will provide some kind of inspiration for anyone who needs it (or encourage me to stop being a lazy arsehole and do some mad shit with my life). Instead of just making one massive list of random shit I'm splitting it into 5 separate categories for different parts of my life.  This might be a good idea or a massive waste of time but it's what's happening now.  The 5 areas will be 1) Travel 2) Personal Development 3) Work 4) Adventure/Miscellaneous 5) Top 10  Each list will consist of 20 items, then from those lists I'll pick the top 10 overall. I guess that will create the actual bucket list of stuff I HAVE to do before I die. It might seem like some are odd or like I've missed off a load of obvious ones like "s...
