10 Creative Instagram Accounts You Should Be Following

Image
Every now and then you're likely to get bored of your Instagram feed and need a bunch of new accounts to follow. I've made a list of "creative influencers" whose profiles I love looking at so if you're in need of some fresh accounts to follow, hopefully these are the ones for you. These accounts are all just profiles I enjoy looking at on my feed, not necessarily anything to do with my lifestyle or own accounts and they're all pretty different. I think it's always good to follow a wide range of people because it just makes life more interesting and you never know what crazy shit you're gonna see that you didn't know you needed to see 'til it happened. I'm aware the term "creative accounts" is pretty broad but that's because I want to recommend a wide range of types of account including artists, photography/travel accounts, tattoo artists and maybe some other stuff too. The accounts I'm posting on here are all ones I ...

How To Be More Confident

Image
I wouldn't consider myself someone who has ever had extremely low self esteem, but with the exception of being drunk at a club or in the company of my close friends and family, confidence is something that I've always wanted to have more of.  Recently I have been getting better with the whole confidence thing and I guess the point of writing this is so I can let you know what I did in the hope it works for someone else.  Before I continue, I'm not about to claim I know some tricks and solutions to cure extreme social anxiety or anything like that, I'm just giving my tips on some ways you can hopefully feel more comfortable in your skin and maybe help you start pursuing something you've been holding back on. So... I assumed it was just me getting older and starting to not care but when I actually thought about it, I realised there are certain actions I've been taking over the last few years which I massively think helped boost my self esteem.  I...

Bucket List

Original content or what... For me, a Bucket List is something I make in my head, make no effort to complete and then completely forget or ignore.  Even so... I'm making one which I will probably also ignore, but hopefully it will provide some kind of inspiration for anyone who needs it (or encourage me to stop being a lazy arsehole and do some mad shit with my life). Instead of just making one massive list of random shit I'm splitting it into 5 separate categories for different parts of my life.  This might be a good idea or a massive waste of time but it's what's happening now.  The 5 areas will be 1) Travel 2) Personal Development 3) Work 4) Adventure/Miscellaneous 5) Top 10  Each list will consist of 20 items, then from those lists I'll pick the top 10 overall. I guess that will create the actual bucket list of stuff I HAVE to do before I die. It might seem like some are odd or like I've missed off a load of obvious ones like "s...

Surf and Turf Ramen Recipe

Image
I was looking for the perfect ramen recipe online recently and even though there are hundreds of amazing ones out there... I didn't fancy any of them particularly so I made my own using my favourite parts of some of them plus my own twists here and there. So I've never written a recipe before but I guess ingredients is a good place to start. (I made mine for 3 people and most of my measurements were just to taste/ judged by eyes or nose. I will put a rough guide of how much of everything I used though. Meats: Steak (any kind, I used thin steaks because they're better value and looked good) Prawns Other: Noodles (I used whole wheat soba noodles but any will work) Red Onion (1/2 a large one) Spring Onion (2) Ginger (a chicken nugget sized lump) Chopped Garlic (1 1/2 teaspoons) Sesame Seeds (a dash) Red Chilli (1) Mange Tout  Sesame Oil Soy Sauce BBQ Sauce Chinese 5 Spice Eggs Stock (I used 1 vegetable cube and 1 beef but any will work) Salt and ...

How to overcome Creative Block

Image
As a creative there's nothing worse than getting to your paper/tablet/whatever and feeling every idea you've ever had slowly fall out of your head. Still, it happens. Quite often for a lot of people (and I'm assuming you if you're reading this) so here are some things I do to refresh my mind. I'm not claiming to be some guru guy here btw, I'm just gonna tell you what helps me and hopefully it can help you too. If they don't work, keep trying new stuff and you'll get there. Then let me know what you did. 1. Music Block Out This one is gonna sound so shit and basic but it is 100% effective with me. I'm starting to think I'm about to come across weird here but I dunno what to tell you.... this has worked every time I've ever never had an idea and been in desperate need. It's also super easy: Lie on the floor with your eyes closed Turn on music (in headphones) until you can't hear anything else Clear your mind and only thi...

5 underrated European cities

Image
I suppose these cities are only underrated depending on who you are, who you speak to and what you look for in a city break destination. Maybe I was just uninformed before I visited them and I'm about to list 5 of the hottest holiday destinations of the last 5 years but hey- This one's for all the ignorant past me's out there so- enjoy. Anyway, I'm just going to list 5 cities I've visited in Europe at one time or another which I think go under the radar when it comes to getting appreciation. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Amsterdam and Berlin but, so does everyone and sometimes you find the coolest shit when you go a little off piste. This is my first blog post ever so I'm just gonna dive right in but first I'll apologise for the fact that all of the photos in this post were probably taken on a disposable camera or an old motorola so, sorry, but at least they're all mine so.... there's that.. Also I know the title specifically says citi...
